First Labor and Delivery for Rebecca and I :
Saturday Sept. 24th started like any other New England Fall weekend, sun coming through the bedroom window, with a hint of frost on the glass, that would soon be gone with the fall morning sun. Then being greeted by all the of the furry family at the bedroom landing as they always are each morning, and we go down for coffee, but one thing was different, Rebecca was not meowing for food like the others were and as she always did. Today was the day! Kitten due date! I just knew it. We rushed around doing our chores, and I could not get home fast enough to attend to her. We waited all afternoon, and around 7:30pm, Rebecca went into labor. It was a shock to both of us, as a virgin queen and this being my first liter, we went into this together, and after a long night, with her last kitten born at 3:30 am, we are all rested, and doing well. Two beautiful babies have been born, a Calico that I am calling Eleanor, and a red and white boy who I call Clemetine. Please see kitten page for pictures. Hope you all had a great weekend as well! Back to the nursery for us now!

Ms. Rebecca is Officially pregnant. She is four weeks along and doing very well. Eating well, drinking, purring, she does not jump as much as she use to but she does have a very large belly so maybe that could be the reason haha:) She was last bred july 18th to the 22nd. That puts her at 4 weeks, and a potential due date of 9/22-9/24. Go to Facebook.com 1st Towne Persians for pictures! contact me to be wait listed !

I was hoping that this month we would be graced with beautiful baby kittens from our BAFINI Jasmine (Rebecca) and our stunning BAFINI Blue Moon(Charleston, but we tend to call him Blue Boy :) ). They have mated multiple times, and yet still no kittens. I have become frustrated and sad with them not producing kittens, but I had to take a step back and think logically about this. First, Persians are late developers. The males, can and often times, take up two years to be able to mat properly. Fingers crossed that this will not be the case with my boy. If, this does become the case, Rebecca will be bred with a stud, from a very reputable breeder in the area. So I promise you all, we will have kittens by the fall! So stay tuned, and thanks for being so patient, your patience will pay off with a beautiful, quality kitten:)
A side note, our Caroline, our brown tabby, has come into heat and she will be ready to have a liter of her own soon as well. She will be bred to a stud as well if blue boy is not able to mat at this time. So two liters of kittens, it will be busy around here come fall.

So, I have attempted to create this website for my cattery. The website is a work in progress and I will update regularly as changes are made, new information, available kittens, etc. Also from time to time I will be writing blogs about Persian care, my cattery, grooming, etc and any other topics that may be helpful or beneficial. Thank you for checking out my blog/website. Let me know what you think, all constructive criticism is appreciated, and helpful in making this site useful for all persian owners and potential owners of a 1st Towne persian.
